Fresh Prince Memories... R.I.P. Uncle Phil

Today was a somber day most people celebrated the New Year by partying and getting wasted but today the Avery family has suffered a great loss as well as Hollywood. Today James Avery the actor best known as "Uncle Phil" from the 1990's hit sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air has passed away. He died during open heart surgery he was 65 and had been in ill health for the past couple of years. I loved watching him as Uncle Phil he was stern but lovable his character portrayed a positive image of African American men as fathers. The next post will be a clip from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
