Young, Gifted, and Black.... Jeramey D. Anderson

In the wake of many African American men being victims of police brutality or serving time in federal prisons. I thought it was important to shed insight on this brilliant young man. I am saluting Representative Jeramaey D. Anderson. Since it is the last day of Black History Month I wanted to shed light on a young man that changed the face of American politics.

Who is Jeramaey D. Anderson? Jermaey D. Anderson is the youngest person elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives. He is twenty three years old and currently a student at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.

Jeramaey D. Anderson was born in Pascagoula, MS on December 6, 1991. He was raised Roman Catholic. He assumed office in 2014. His committee memberships include the following Judiciary B, Judiciary En Banc, Marine Resources, S.C. Accountability, Efficiency, Transparency, Youth 7 Family Affairs.

Jeramaey is currently a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson County Alumni, Purple Knights of America ( CEO) Real South United FC ( CEO), and the Knights of Pete Cleaver. Jeramaey was recently received the "Early Riser" award at the 2015 BET Honors.

Toni's Thoughts: I remember watching him on CNN and other news outlets I was so proud shedding tears of joy. There is an effort to destroy the Black man he is perceived to primitive and dangerous. I am glad to see this young man destroy the negative archetype. I am proud of you. Do well.
