California Girl Elle Varner




Gabrielle Serene Varner known professionally as "Elle Varner" is the voice behind songs such as "Refill," "I Don't Care, "Don't Wanna Dance" just to name a few. She was born and raised in the City of Angels also known as Los Angeles, California. It is safe to say that music is in her blood she is the daughter of Mikelyn Roderick and Jimmy Varner both songwriters and publishers. Her mother Mikelyn Roderick was a backup vocalist for Barry White. At the tender age of six she began playing the flute, eventually she learned how to play both the guitar and piano. Elle is an alumnus of New York University's Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music.  Elle's mezzo soprano delivers with a gritty seduction.  Her sophomore album Four Letter Word is slated to be released this year. She credits Ella Fitzgerald as major influence. Elle also says that Mariah Carey, Brandy, and Monica serve as musical inspirations. Elle is innovative, talented, and beautiful. So far singles from newest album displays versatility and raw emotion. She is currently inaugurating a new genre of music which she calls "Trap Jazz.''
