Recently CNN anchor host Don Lemon has been accused of sexual assault. I try to make it a happen not to celebrate the demise of people especially my own. However, when you disrespect us I believe all bets are officially off. According to Ellie Bufkin's article entitled "New Witness Claims he saw Don Lemon assault man in Hamptons" from the Washington Examiner. Initially Don Lemon was accused by Dustin Hice, who worked as a bartender at the time of grabbing his own genitals and making sexually explicit comments to him. Dustin Hice has filed suit against Don Lemon and he is seeking unspecified damages resulting from the encounter. Hice stated the following:
" He put his hands down his pants, inside his board shorts, grabbed his genitals," George Gounelas, Hice's former boss claims to have witnessed the encounter. He told FOX News the story last Thursday. He also stated that Don Lemon came out with two fingers and, like, Dustin's nose up and down with fingers asking, " Do you like pussy or dick?"
Dustin recognized Don Lemon at the bar and approached him to say "What's up?" Dustin then offered Don Lemon a drink. Dustin's boss George Gounelas witnessed the encounter. He also stated Don declined to speak to Dustin Hice and rejected the drink offer. Hice thought that would be the end of their interaction, but Don eventually reappeared a moment later.
Don approached to Dustin Hice and his boss George Gounelas. Don was also intoxicated. Don said "There is a beam, a pole in the place. Don's standing up against the pole, face to face with Dustin, I turn around I'm standing right there between the two of them. He's saying, "So you like me?" Is that why you're bothering me?" In this moment Gounelas asserted that Don assaulted Hice.
" As his boss, I was kind of making fun. I feel bad now," Gounelas said. "The place was packed. I'm sure other people saw. It was known thing in the the Hamptons, not like this quiet thing. Everybody knew Dustin and what happened to him. Every time we went out, every bartender offered him a lemon drop shot, making fun of him. He got some shit for it."
At the moment CNN has denied that Don Lemon was involved in the alleged incident and said that Dustin Hice has a history of antagonizing the cable news network.
Toni's Thoughts: Don Lemon has used his platform to insult the Black American community. He has accused the entire Black community of being homophobic, he ridiculed Kanye West's mental health issues, he condemned Trayvon Martin for wearing a hoodie, and pushed the racial trope of Black men being the sexual aggressive beast. Back to Trayvon Martin for a moment. Just to be clear Don Lemon agreed with Bill O'Riley's argument that Trayvon Martin brought his death upon himself for wearing a hoodie. Yes, he did support it. I also had no sympathy for him when Donald Trump called him stupid. I say this because he gave Donald Trump a platform when he was running for President and he was done with Don and many other journalist they became bitter. When I was younger I used to like Don Lemon and once upon a time I was majoring in Broadcast Journalism in college. Eventually I changed my major. Since then I have learned that Don and many other people do not uphold the real standards of journalism. They do not report the truth, they gossip. These people tell lies, take things out of context, and tell the story from a slanted view. Don Lemon fits that category and I feel no sympathy for him.
