The Magic of Whitney Houston ( Merv Griffin Show 1983)

This past Friday was the late great Whitney Houston's birthday. If she were still alive she would have been 56 years old. I know many people want to focus her addiction struggles and relationship with Bobby Brown that had its up and downs. Let's be clear she was and will forever be "The Voice" and Bobby Brown will always be "The King of New Jack Swing." My mother told me about this performance it was Whitney's first television performance. My mother said many people were simply amazed watching this. There is no auto-tune this showcased Whitney's raw talent.  I have always liked this song but to hear Whitney sing it sent chills down my spine. Can you believe she was only 19 at the time? So enjoy it I know I did. Continue to rest Whitney we miss you.
